The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G 2 RFT is Goodyear’s extreme performance summer run flat tire. It was developed as an original equipment tire for the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 super car. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G 2 RFT is a track inspired road designed tire that was created by merging the aggressive appearance and racing slicks performance. Like any other Summer tire it shouldn’t be driven in heavily wet conditions, in snow, or on ice. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G 2 RFT features a tread compound that was track optimized and molded into a asymmetric and directional tread pattern. The incredible dry cornering traction comes from massive outboard shoulder blocks, while wet performance comes from the sweeping grooves that help to channel water away from the middle of the tread which helps to resist hydroplaning, and improve rubber to road traction. The internal structure of the tire features twin high tensile steel belt plies that are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon that help to better distribute the weight of the vehicle across the tires contact patch. In the event of a flat tire the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G 2 RFT can still be driven, but should be kept to a limit of 50 miles and at speeds of 50 mph, and will need to be replaced even if internal damage doesn’t occur.
