The Turanza ER300 2 TURANZA is Bridgestone’s Grand Touring Summer tire, and was developed for use on Mercedes Benz sedans. They can also be used as replacement tires on sedans and coupes. The RE 300 2 TURANZA has the ability to combine handling, traction and comfort in both dry and wet situations. It is similar to all other summer tires in that it was designed for use in temperatures close to freezing on ice and through snow.
The RE 300 2 TURANZA has several features:
Shapes a summer tread compound into a specific tread design.
Extended circumferential ribs and large tread blocks, which support reactive handling on dry roads.
Circumferential and crosswise tread grooves that help to remove water from beneath the tire’s footprints, to improve wet traction and minimize hydroplaning.
The inside structure of the tire consists of identical steel belts that are covered by spiral wrapped nylon and aramid, which allow the stabilization of the tread region for improved handling and high speed ability.
Patented with Bridgestone’s Ecopia symbol is an indication that the ER 300 2 Turanza tires provides reduced rolling resistance to boost the vehicle’s fuel economy, and help to lessen the vehicle's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
