BFGoodrich’s g-Force R1 radial is a track and competition D.O.T. racing tire. Since the BFGoodrich g-Force R1 radial is a track and competition D.O.T. racing tire it should not be driven on regular roads. The g-Force R1 was created for vehicles looking for race performance, as well as track day drivers seeking predictable grip that is comfortable to drive at the limit. BFGodrich’s g-Force R1 radial tire was created to offer steering power, dry grip, steering response and turn-in precision to inspire driver confidence for the fastest times lap after lap. BFGoodrich’s g-Force R1 tire uses a competition tread compound created into a semi-slick tread design. The g-Force R1 tire also has rubber bridges molded repeatedly across the two circumferential grooves to further promote tire performance and even wear. The g-Force R1 tires require minimal scuffing, heat cycling is recommended to further increase consistency and wear. The symmetric, semi-slick tread design allows the g-Force R1 tire to rotate in different directions and be used at different vehicle wheel positions to maximize tread life. The BFGoodrich’s G-Force R1 structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by a spirally wrapped polyamide cord on top of a two-ply nylon cord carcass.
