GRABBER AT2
The General Grabber AT2 tire is an on / off road all terrain light truck tire. General Tire developed the Grabber AT2 for pickup truck and sport utility vehicle drivers looking for exceptional traction over other all terrains. The Grabber AT2 tire is designed to combine long tire tread life and outstanding reliability with year round consistency on and off road in dry, wet and winter weather conditions.
The General Grabber AT2 features a chip and tear resistant tire tread compound. General Tire molds this tire compound into an aggressive, symmetric tire tread design featuring five rows of independent tread blocks to blend on-road handling with off-road traction. The tires tread blocks feature multiple traction edges and sipes, as well as are molded to accept optional metallic studs to increase wintry weather traction. The AT2 tire tread block sizes and shapes have been computer optimized to allow the aggressive tread pattern to remain relatively quiet and even wearing during on road and highway driving. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts on top of a two-ply polyester cord body to combine strength and durability with a comfortable and quiet ride.
While many of the General Grabber AT2 all terrain tires meet industry severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain and snowflake symbol, some do not. Specific tires sizes not meeting the industry's requirements are identified with a "Not Rated for Severe Snow" notation on Sizes & Prices, as well as on Specs. Grabber AT2 tires are designed to accept optional metal studs to enhance ice traction in certain sizes.

GRABBER UHP
The General Grabber UHP is a street / sport truck summer tire. General developed the Grabber UHP for drivers of high performance pickups, sport activity and sport utility vehicles. The Grabber UHP tire was designed to emphasize traction, handling and control in dry and wet conditions. However while exceeding minimum industry M+S tread pattern guidelines (and branded as such), the General Grabber UHP tires are not recommended to be driven in winter conditions exceeding light snow.
The General Grabber UHP molds a 2nd generation ultra high performance silica compound. General Tire’s mold features a directional tread design with wide shoulder blocks and a central V-shaped tire tread area to combine responsive handling with dry road traction. The V-shaped grooves help sweep water away from between the tire’s contact patch and the road surface to reduce the possibility of hydroplaning and improve wet traction. The tire features an optimized contour and internal structure that includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wound joint less nylon on top of polyester body plies. General Tire combines responsive handling and cornering stability with high-speed durability all in one with the Grabber UHP tire.
